Over the years we’ve developed an elaborate network of like-minded craftswomen and men. We offer a full spectrum of general contracting services and manage sub-contractors (as needed) for every phase of construction.

project management

We collaborate with Architects early in the conceptual stages of design to asses the infrastructural and budgetary needs of each project — bridging a common disconnect between concept and construction. We understand the nature of historical structures and the typical challenges they pose when updating them into compliance.

historic preservation

Maintaining the character of our city is especially important during times of growth and development. Our award-winning preservation work makes old buildings safe and functional while also honoring the original materials and craftmanship of earlier generations.

After finishing undergrad with a degree in physics, Julie quickly turned her attention to carpentry drawn by a desire to work with her hands and a love of understanding how things operate. She began her career working in wood shops, learning trim carpentry, working on framing crews, and building new homes. Particularly drawn to older buildings and the complex problem solving it takes to bring the older buildings up to modern building codes, Julie began to primarily work on historic buildings in 2009.
